Exploring the Great White North, Chapter 3: Mountain Sound

Now, let me just say that the mountains surrounding Whistler are some of the most spectacular places I have ever seen!

We explored Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, and went on a snowmobile tour of the nearby Callaghan Valley.

The snowmobile tour of Callaghan Valley was an utterly amazing experience, and not one that I will soon forget. I was so exhilarated, I did not even realize how cold it was. The feeling of looking back and seeing how you climbed up an entire mountain is indescribable.

As we approached the top of the mountain, we saw a little house, which looked like something from Narnia. We went inside drank hot apple cider and ate cookies, and as I looked out the window, I could see the entire valley below me. There were more tones of white and green than I even knew existed, and I could not possibly draw my eyes away.

Of course, there were so many more snowy sceneries to explore in this area, all nearly as beautiful as this.

We went first to Whistler Mountain, and then Blackcomb, in the most remarkable way possible!

As much as I loved seeing all the snow-covered mountains above, below and all around me, what was most magnificent was the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, which linked Whistler Mountain’s Roundhouse Lodge, and Blackcomb’s Mountain Rendezvous Restaurant. This entire trip was beautiful, but nothing as much as seeing the snow-covered pine trees all around you as you went further and further into the fog, between the two mountains.

I’ve always been a city boy, but there’s really nothing like reconnecting with nature!

And as for tradition, here is this post’s music video!
